28 - Survivor
Personality: Nurturing, curious, bold, optimistic, warm, independent
History: Chloe's mother was killed when she was young, and she was raised with her father and two brothers. She cherished any girl time she got but being raised in a home dominated by males, she was often made to go along on camping trips, wilderness hikes, etc. She learned good survival skills as well as how to hunt game with a shotgun or a bow. At the time she thought it was a waste of her time but ever since things started to change, she sure has become grateful for everything the men in her life taught her.
After graduated high school Chloe went off to college and obtained her degree in forensic science. She had become involved with a man she met at school named Alex who was a soldier in the USMC and was home on leave. The two of them maintained a long-distance relationship through letters, Skype and the occasional phone call or visit. She was always loyal to him but there was something in the back of her mind that told her that he might not have been. It was just a nagging doubt in the back of her mind, most likely due to the stereotype that soldiers don't tend to be faithful when overseas. Still, she always tried to brush off any of those negative thoughts.
Chloe was beyond ecstatic when Alex showed up on her door step about a month ago, but he wasn't so much. Having been injured in the line of duty, he had been honorably discharged from the USMC. PTSD and depression became huge factors in his life and he started spending most of his nights at a local bar rather than with Chloe, and most nights he would come home looking much worse than he did when he left due to his inclination to get into bar fights with anyone who looked at him funny.
Still she was loyal to him, until just a few days ago when everything changed, and one of those brawls got out of hand. Alex managed to make his way home barely, but his injuries were so devastating that they led to his death, triggering that toxic pathogen in his brain. When he attacked her, Chloe did her best to fight him off and managed to escape the house screaming. Thankfully a man came to her rescue and killed the thing that used to be her boyfriend. He took her into his home for safety, but once their shelter was compromised the two of them went on the road together in search of refuge.
