History:
Prior to the world ending Dominic was a prominent emergency room doctor working at Emory in Atlanta. He had a wife, a fellow physician, and a one year old son who were his entire world. His wife, unbeknownst to him, was pregnant with their second when the world fell. Taking a well needed vacation, his family took a short trip to Savannah to relax on the shores of Tybee. They were barely there two days before sirens filled the air. They were forced to leave the coast and ordered to head back to their homes. The hotel they were living in was closed by the owner who decided to disappear when the military road into town.
With nothing but the bags left in their car, Dominic tried to get his family out of Savannah but found the roads blocked by large military convoys. By talking to other scared families around them they found out that some sort of infection was spreading through the small town. He quickly found a safe house for his family inside one of the local hospitals. There he helped take care of people who were injured or bitten until they soon died.
He was attacked by one of his patients, a young male, before a security officer took him out. The people within the hospital decided it was best the doctors and nurse who had been in direct contact with sick patients be separated from everyone else. Clearly Dominic was upset about it but with guns pointed in his face he had no other choice.
When the infection broke through the well guarded gates into the hospital the quarantine was forgotten and Dominic was finally allowed to search for his family. What he found were their belongings and blood. He doesn't know if they survived or if they died during the ambush. Distraught and overwhelmed, he gathered what he could to protect himself and began searching for them. It wasn't long before he joined a group of other survivors in Savannah. In the back of his mind he know he needs to look for his family and he's trying to convince others to help him.
