24 - Survivor
Personality: Sarcastic, Humorous, Admirable, Respectful, Smart, and Tough.
History: When the biters came, she was far from ready. Marie was on her journey to become a teacher at a local Pre-school. She loved kids, and it was one of her dreams since her last few years of high school. Marie was in her parents den, going over some study sheets she had written from college when her father ran down the stairs with his shotgun.
Marie had no idea what was going on, but she was alert from the moment the gun cocked. He implored her to get a knife, or something. So she hurriedly readied, and armed herself with a kitchen knife. As she went toward the front door, which was still open from when her father had exited. Well, the site she saw made her stomach churn. It was midday, and the sun was barely up.
There, by her mother's care, sat her mother. The woman didn't seem to be awake, but she wasn't sure what had happened. She jumped when her dad appeared from the side of the porch. Requesting her to stay on the porch while he checked things out. Marie nodded to the man, but returned inside the house to retrieve her cell phone. She dialed the digits of her boyfriend first, and as she turned around with the phone pressed to her ear. The sudden sound of screaming was heard.
She slowly moved the phone from her face, and stepped toward the door. Her mother was no longer on the ground, but was being brought into the house by her father. Blood was all over her mother's neck, and clothing. Once inside, they tried to treat her mother, but it was no good. Within a few hours the woman had bled out, and passed.
Marie's boyfriend had appeared over near the end of things with her mother. As he was concerned about the phone call he had got, and the screaming he had heard. Being a college student, he had been in the middle of the mess, and instantly ran to his girlfriend's side. They buried her mother in the back yard.
Things went from bad to worse over the next month. Their mother returned in the middle of the night, and dug her way from the grave while they were sleeping. They all awoke to the sound of beating on the house. They discovered it was her mother, and her father couldn't bring himself to putting the woman down, believing she wasn't truly dead.
They all left with as many supplies as they could gather, and left everything behind. Marie in her boyfriends car, and her father in his own truck. The last few months has been crucial, but too put things shortly. Marie, and the other two were caught by a group of thugs. They threatened them, but they were in the safety of a building that was locked.
Marie forced her father, and boyfriend to leave. Refusing to go with them, and promising to meet them when things were safe. She gave herself up to save them, and that is where her story begins. For the last few weeks Marie has been by herself. She has no idea what happened to her boyfriend, or father. She keeps checking at the old building just to see if they're around there, but she's come to the conclusion that they either left, and escaped. Or, they were killed by the thugs that night, and their bodies already with the dead.
