Personality: Loyal. Stubborn. Outspoken. Assertive. Clever. Fierce/Protective.
History: Aina is an only child; her parents a couple of African expatriates. Her loving parents always motivated her to pursue her dreams. This is why she decided to study medicine. She wanted to help other people. She received herself with honors and started a residence as a pediatric emergency medicine physician. This is how she met another resident; a man named Dominic Saunders he wanted to work full time in the ER.
Dominic stole her heart and the two of them soon began dating. When they married it was the happiest day of her life, well almost. Just two years later she was giving birth to the Saunder’s first born a healthy boy, named Nickolas. Things could not have gone better. A year later Aina was determined to surprise Dominic with her positive pregnancy test during their vacation time. However, the one that was surprised was everyone on earth. A new epidemic was literally raising the dead from their graves.
They found impossible to escape the road were blocked and they stayed at the local hospital helping out. Aina still had to care for her son and the weight of saving the patients fell on her husband. Dominic was sadly attacked and he had to be separated from the healthy people. Aina prayed and prayed and swore in her heart that he didn’t have it. Not the father of her son, not her husband. She still had to keep their little son safe. That’s when a soldier entered the room; she approached him to ask news about her husband.
The man jumped on her. Aina watched the most horrible things she had ever seen. The man took Nick out of her arms and… There were no words to describe what happened. But, it happened. Aina took the man’s gun and kept shooting at him until he finally stopped moving. Another soldier that intended to come to her aid had been staring at the scene. He took away the gun out of her hands. She took the small, ripped body into her arms and walked out of the craziness. Her son did not reanimated and she managed to mark his grave with a cross and a stone by the side of the road.
Aina was not sure if Dominic managed to make it or not. After her son’s death everything became a blur and she simply felt empty. The only thing she had some sense to do was to bury his body and mark the grave. It was important for her should she ever have the chance to… to visit him again. After that, she volunteered to join the military convoy and help out with her medical skills. She still has a baby to live for. One of her conditions was that she would be given a gun and would be properly taught how to use it. She is going to make sure her second child survives. Whatever it takes.
